Since 2023 we have instigated an annual Ale Trail challenge in Darlington.
How it works: You can buy a map showing all of the pubs taking part in the challenge. When you visit one of these pubs and buy a pint or half or real ale or cider, you get a sticker to add to your map. When it's complete, hand it in for a chance to win a prize.

The format may change slightly from year to year but typically the challenge runs for 6 weeks in the Autumn.
