Ale Trail 2024 - Pub List & Prizes

Pub Selection rules

  • Pubs must offer at least one Real Ale.
  • Current branch POTY, CPOTY and COTY must be included.
  • Pubs must be accessible by public transport to allow reasonable access during their opening times.
  • A balanced split of pubs between D'ton town and out of town (inc. Barnard Castle and Newton Aycliffe) should be maintained. Ideally no more than a 60\40 majority in favour of either.
  • Pubs must be sympathetic to the CAMRA cause.
  • Preference will be given to pubs serving local real ale.
  • Preference will be given to pubs that reflect well on the local branch and CAMRA in general.
  • All decisions are at the discretion of the Ale Trail committee.

Prizes

Fastest Finisher:
As with last year, there will be a special prize for the fastest finisher. This year it will be a beer selection pack from 3 Brothers plus a unique 'Fastest Finisher' T-shirt sponsored by Crafty Merlins.
If you think you are in with a shout of winning, remember to take a selfie as you hand in your map and the staff will make a note of the date & time. At this point we should say that we at CAMRA promote responsible drinking!!!

Completed Maps
Every completed map returned will be entered into a Prize Draw which will take place at the first branch meeting after the trail closes.
There are five prizes to be won:

Prize 1 - 3 Brothers 6 x 500ml bottle variety pack

Prize 2 - Steam Machine 4 x 375ml mixed bottle selection plus £25 voucher

Prize 3 - Purity Brewing 8 x 500ml Bunny Hop Hazy Pale Ale bottles.

Prize 4 - Dionysiac Brewing 4 x 500ml bottles variety pack.

Prize 5 - Play Brew 6 x 440ml cans variety pack.
