YouTube channel The Craft Beer Channel have set up a petition to request the government back a proposal to have British Cask Ale recognised by UNESCO in the same way as Belgium Beer has been in an effort to further protect our beer heritage.

The official wording for the petition is:
Following the UK’s ratification of UNESCO's Convention for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage, we call on the Government to recognise production and serving of traditional British cask ale as Intangible Cultural Heritage.
