The Bridge Inn at Whorlton is currently subject to being sold and converted to a domestic dwelling. Darlington CAMRA have previously lodged an objection and are delighted to hear that there are members of the community who are trying to take the pub over through Community Ownership.

There is a Facebook Page that we encourage all local CAMRA members to follow and share.

As a branch we are committed to trying to save all of our regions pubs, particularly in cases such as this where the last pub in a community will be lost forever. If you have an interest and want to get involved, there is a meeting on 8th May at 6pm in the Whorlton Village Hall
